Frequently asked questions
-
You can apply through our careers page by completing the application form linked in the job advert.
-
We normally ask all applicants to complete the application form so we can assess candidates fairly and consistently. Alternative arrangements may be considered where reasonable adjustments are needed.
-
Timings can vary depending on the role and number of applications. We aim to share key dates or approximate timeframes in the advert or during the process, and we will keep candidates updated where possible.
-
Once applications close, they are reviewed against the role criteria. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to the next stage, which is usually an interview and may include an assessment or task.
-
You may be invited to one or more interviews and, for some roles, a role-related task or assessment. We will provide details in advance, including the format, timing and anything you need to bring or prepare.
-
Yes. We welcome requests for reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. If you need support, please let us know as early as possible so we can discuss appropriate arrangements.
-
We aim to let candidates know the outcome of their application as soon as possible. Feedback will be available for candidates who attend interview.
-
If you are successful, your offer will usually be conditional until relevant checks are completed. This will include right to work in the UK and reference checks, and where required qualification checks and a DBS check.
-
Some roles involve regulated activity or work with children, young people or adults at risk. Where this applies, a satisfactory DBS check will be required as part of our safer recruitment and safeguarding process.
-
Yes. All successful candidates must provide evidence of their right to work in the UK before employment begins, in line with legal requirements.
-
References are usually requested as part of the pre-employment checking stage, after we have the candidate’s consent. For some more senior roles, references may be requested earlier in the process.
-
We aim to communicate clearly with candidates at each stage, including interview details, next steps and outcome timeframes. If there is a delay, we will try to let you know.
