Hours: 5 days (40 hours) of provision before 31 Dec 2025. 16 days (128 hours) of provision across 2026. May include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
Remuneration: £300 per day

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a consultant nutritionist to join our Sport Science & Medicine (SS&M) team and contribute to elite sport performance through innovative nutritional strategies, supporting athletes at the highest levels of competition.
The service will be 16 days of provision across each year, with dates to be agreed in line with greatest performance and educational impact. This will be a consultancy role and may include working outside normal office hours and on public holidays where necessary.
The main purpose of this role is to oversee and deliver the nutrition provision across both the Men’s and Women’s professional playing squads. Working within the Sport Science & Medicine (SS&M) team the role will support performance through developing and implementing a nutritional service. This role includes promoting nutrition's role in performance, coordinating with Strength & Conditioning coaches and catering providers to ensure optimal food provision during training, matches, and travel, and delivering educational programs, consultations, and monitoring. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining nutrition policies and protocols, managing relationships with nutrition partners, ensuring compliance with anti-doping and supplement regulations, maintaining detailed records of athlete interactions, and upholding confidentiality and professional standards.
About You
Amongst other essential criteria, you will have a degree in Nutrition, Sport Science, Dietetics, or a related field, along with higher qualifications such as an IOC diploma or Masters in sports nutrition. You’ll hold a ISAK Level 1 accreditation and be an Anti-Doping Clean Sport Advisor. A minimum of three years’ postgraduate experience working with elite athletes is essential, including expertise in analysing team sport demands, developing nutrition programmes, and working with catering guidelines.
You will have a track record of working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver performance nutrition support, managing budgets, and providing cost-effective services. Experience working with supplement partners and managing key stakeholders is also important.
We are seeking a highly organised and empathetic individual with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively and inclusively. You are approachable, influential, and capable of positively engaging with stakeholders. You’ll demonstrate resilience under pressure, possess excellent decision-making abilities, and take active responsibility and accountability.
You will need to provide documentation from HMRC confirming your self-employment or company registration status.
